RCI accepts resumes for General Management Interns for the Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons from self-starting and thoughtful individuals focusing on careers in general management, company management, producing, finance and operations, or arts administration and leadership. Ideal candidates should be organized, professional and personable, efficient and detail-oriented, and prepared to contribute to the administrative needs of the office. Candidates should be able to adapt quickly to an ever-changing and fast-paced environment, enjoy finding solutions, and have excellent interpersonal, analytic, and administrative skills.
RCI's internship program offers an intensive experience in commercial theatrical management, including seminars and career coaching with RCI staff members; creation of budgets, contracts, and show management and tracking; as well as practical applications and exposure to our current projects.

General upkeep of a fast-paced office, including answering and redirecting phone calls, handling mail, copying, scanning, filing, running errands, etc.
Creating and maintaining files, spreadsheets, and compiling data
Handling regular inquiries into rehearsal studio availability and rates
Support with filing and upkeep of show-related documents
Assisting our Finance Department with paid bills tracking, reconciliations, and audits
Learning Quickbooks and assisting with payroll practices as needed
Assisting in the coordination of show-related and actor-related travel needs (transportation, housing, etc.)
Conducting research
Helping with logistical needs of developmental workshops, readings and work sessions
Additional unique projects as assigned (examples include contract drafting, assisting with management of readings, and opening night planning)
Intensive training as well as specific duties and projects under the guidance of experienced supervisors
Opportunity to shadow company managers for all of our productions in New York
Observe other aspects of the business (advertising, marketing, etc.), in accordance with the intern's interests
An individual desk, computer, and email account
Complimentary ticket offers as available
Hours
Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Full-time candidates are preferred, but small part-time schedule amendments will be considered. Additional evening or weekend commitments for special events will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Compensation
Each intern will be paid hourly and receive NYC Minimum Wage.
